Germany - Berlin
Turnover almost one fifth down on prior-year figure
With take-up of 293,000 m2 in the first nine months of the year, the result achieved in the Berlin office market was 17% lower than in the same period last year. In Q3, though, demand – with a total of more than 100,000 m2 – was sound, especially in view of the fact that the summer months tend to be quieter. Up to the end of the nine-month period, the biggest share of turnover was achieved by the mid-range size categories of between 1,000 m2 and 2,000 m2 (over 22 %), losely followed by the category 2,000 m2 to 5,000 m2 (over 19 %).
