New turnover record

With take-up of 113,000 m2, the Düsseldorf office market set a new first-quarter record. The result was more than 14 % higher than the prior-year figure. If peripheral office locations are excluded, turnover was 98,000 m2 (+19.5 %). Thanks to the conclusion of a large lease for 28,000 m2 of office space, the city centre fringe accounted for 35 % of total take-up. That lease also explains why the list of major sources of demand was led by public administration, with a share of 25.6 %. In second place came information and communications technologies, with over 20 %.
