Dortmund city News Q3/2009

Turnover slightly down on last year

With take-up of 56,000 m2, the Dortmund office market failed by only around 8 % to match the record result achieved in the same period last year. Q3 in particular exhibited really lively demand, with several large new leases, and in fact accounted for almost half of this year’s turnover. Just as in 2008, public authorities made a substantial contribution, with a share of 29 % of total take-up. Companies in the information and communications sector were also a strong source of demand, generating a share of almost 22 %.
