High take-up

Take-up of logistics and warehouse space in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) in 2010 totalled 679,000 m². Although this was marginally lower than the prior-year result (-2 %), demand here, as elsewhere in Germany, was fuelled by the general economic upswing and the renewed growth in world trade. The extent of this development varied between the individual submarkets, though. In Düsseldorf, turnover rose by 28.5 % to 167,000 m² in an impressive documentation of greater market activity.
