DEGI purchases an office and commercial building in Mannheim for DEGI GERMAN BUSINESS

Germany: The property fund company DEGI Deutsche Gesellschaft für Immobilienfonds mbH has purchased an office and commercial building in Mannheim from LBBW Immobilien GmbH for its DEGI GERMAN BUSINESS fund.

The real estate agent of the transaction was Colliers Bräutigam & Krämer, Stuttgart. The property is situated in the best office location of Mannheim, directly opposite the main station, with optimum links to supra-regional rail traffic. But the urban public transport connections and its reachability by individual transportation are exceptionally favourable as well.
The top-ranking international human resources consultants Hays AG are the principal tenants of the property, which was completed in 1995. With a total rental area of 8,760 m², it features six upper floors and a twelve-storey tower in the middle, with three access cores enabling it to be divided up into smaller rental units at need.
Mannheim, with a population of about 300,000, is the second-largest city in Baden-Württemberg, and possesses office space totalling approximately 2.1 million m². Together with Ludwigshafen and Heidelberg and the adjoining counties, it forms the metropolitan region of Rhine-Neckar.
